Imagine you’re at the hospital, in a bank, or at a construction site. Each place has special words used by the people who work there. These are called specialized vocabulary. In this lesson, you’ll learn to recognize such terms and link them to their correct fields — a skill that WAEC loves to test.
They are words used in specific careers or subjects, like:
Diagnosis, syllabus, ballot, budget, referee, lens
| Field | Vocabulary Examples |
|---|---|
| Health | patient, surgery, dosage |
| Education | teacher, curriculum, recess |
| Government | vote, minister, election |
| Finance | deposit, loan, cheque |

| Religion | altar, sermon, mosque |
| Sports | coach, referee, penalty |
